Top Takeaways From Ter Josh Donaldson Canada Day Jersey rell Suggs’ Hour-Long Q&A With Ravens Fans

Veteran Terrell Suggs talks about the rookie class, his NFL future, favorite memories and more during an teleconf Russell Martin Canada Day Jersey erence with season-ticket holders.

It was Terrell Suggs unplugged Tuesday night as the Ravens’ veteran linebacker took questions from PSL season-ticket holders Tuesday night for nearly an hour.

Suggs is always entertaining, insightful and smart – both on gamedays and just in general conversation.

Here are some of the top takeaways from the Q&A:

On what he would say if he could go back in time and talk TO his rookie self:

“Pay attention. Do not take for granted the people that are in this Devon Travis Jersey building. It’s a lot. First thing I would do is whip his [butt]. [I was a] 20-year-old kid [who] need his [butt] whupped. I was in a different world. I was really remedial. Ray Lewis, he tried to teach me so many things. When he was talking to me, it was like he was speaking German and French. I couldn’t comprehend. I was like, ‘Look, man, I’m just here to pass rush.’ He was like, ‘Nah, we don’t draft just pass rushers in the first round. You have to do everything.’”

On what drives him heading into his 16th NFL season:

“To do it all again. It’s a trip to get to do it all again. I love playing ball. I love playing ball. I love being Sizzle. When the time comes for me to be a full-time dad, full-time actor/writer/director/producer, I’ll do all that. But right now, it’s the Flock. Go Flock.

“To be totally honest with you, I don’t see my peak in my near future.”

On the rookie class, especially quarterback Lamar Jackson:

“They have a tremendous amount of potential. It’s up to them to cash in on that. They’re only going to reap the reward if they come in and put in the work. If they come in and work to earn that Ravens decal, the future is bright for them.

“Potential never won a game. It never made a play.”

On the favorite play of his career:

“Super Bowl. As crazy as it sounds, the last defensive play of that Super Bowl, the guy who was involved is on this team now [Michael Crabtree]. I walked in [the locker room] and Jimmy [Smith] and Michael Crabtree were talking about it. I was like, ‘To be totally honest with you, Michael, it was an uncatchable ball.’ … Definitely, when that ball flew over Michael Crabtree’s head, that was my favorite play

“In 2012, going into the Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey  playoffs, Jimmy Smith was very upset. He wanted to play more. He had an up and down year because he had injuries and all that. … I told him, ‘If you think we’re not going to need you to win this, you’re mistaken. We’re going to need you to win the Super Bowl.’ And he made the last three plays. It’s crazy, it’s like déjà vu.”

On why he picked No. 55:

“I walked into the building and that was the jersey they gave me. There were some other numbers that were available that weren’t too flattering. I asked who had 56. They said they didn’t give 56 out to rookies. Ed Hartwell had it. It was the only good number that was available, so I took it.”

On how he got the nickname “Sizzle”:

“It’s actually very funny. My cousin, D’Marr Suggs, played basketball at Idaho State University. And he was a really good player. They gave him the name ‘D-Sizzle.’ Naturally, with me being at Arizona State and me trying to live up to my big cousin, I inherited the name ‘T-Sizzle.’”

On who will be this year’s young Dalton Pompey Jersey defensive breakout player:

“Willie ‘Earl’ Henry. He’s going to have a breakout year. Tyus Bowser. I’m really optimistic about all our young guys. Peanut, Patrick Onwuasor, Maurice Canady, pretty much all the guys that’s here. The whole team is here. With the new coordinator, I think all our young guys are going to have a breakout year. It’s going to be a fun year.”

On why he’s excited about new Defensive Coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale:

“He’s taking the handcuffs off the guys. Sometimes a player can be shackled just by the rules and confines of the defense. I think Wink is going to allow us to go make plays and be the fast-moving defense that this city and the fans love. That’s why I’m very excited for the season.”

Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti said in February that the team would take a hard look at reducing prices at M&T Bank Stadium’s concession stands.

Matt Skura Is Ready for His Shot to Be Thi Roberto Osuna Canada Day Jersey s Year’s Ryan Jensen

After Ryan Jensen departed in free agency, the Ravens have an opening for the starting center job. Former undrafted product Matt Skura is the leading contender heading into OTAs.

This time last year, there were a lot of questions about who the Ravens’ starting center would ultimately become Devon Travis Jersey and rumblings that Baltimore should sign a veteran free agent.

Ryan Jensen stepped up, going from a multi-year backup to full-time starter to the highest-paid center in the league.

With Jensen’s free agency exit to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Ravens are now back in a similar position with an opening in the middle of the offensive line. So who could be this year’s Jensen?

The leading candidate is Matt Skura, and he’s ready for his shot at the job with Organized Team Activities set to kick off next week.

“[Jensen] and I kind of had a similar story,” Skura said. “Hopefully I’m the guy they feel comfortable with moving into that position.”

Jensen was a sixth-round pick in 2013. He spent much of his second season on the practice squad and was a backup in 2015 and 2016. Jensen made nine starts because of injuries those two years before taking over full-time last offseason following Jeremy Zuttah’s release.

Skura went undrafted in 2016 and spent his first season on the Ravens practice squad. He was again placed on the practice squad at the end of training camp last year, but was called up to the 53-man roster before the Week 3 game in London.

The Ravens needed a new right guard after perennial Pro Bowler Marshal Yanda fractured his ankle. Skura figured he would be mostly used on special teams for his first game. Instead, he was thrust into Yanda’s starting spot.

“It happened really fast and there wasn’t much time to process, but sometimes being thrown into the fire is the best way to do it,” Skura said.

Skura was a four-year starter at Duke, including three at center. Still, he adapted to the position Russell Martin Canada Day Jersey  switch, battled through a knee injury and ended up starting 12 games. Overall, the offensive line still held strong despite its best player’s absence. According to Pro Football Focus, Skura gave up just one sack all season.

“I knew I just had to be me. I couldn’t try to be Marshal,” Skura said.

Now Skura is faced with trying to replace another strong player in Jensen, Dalton Pompey Jersey who gained a lot of fans in Baltimore not only with his strong play, but his physical demeanor.

Once again, Skura can only be himself. He prides himself on his film study, which he says slows the game down because he picks up on defensive linemen’s tendencies and how to identify blitzing linebackers. He’s technically sound and has good size at 6-foot-3, 315 pounds (he’s added bulk).

Still, there’s a part to Jensen’s game that Skura wants to add.

“I wouldn’t say I’m the first person to be in a fight like Jensen was,” Skura said with a chuckle. “But seeing the way he played made me want to play like that as well – having that nastier mentality and finishing blocks downfield. It does intimidate people and a lot of guys really aren’t prepared to play like that from the first snap to the end of the game.”

Skura said the transition from guard back to center is like riding a bike. And now with a fair amount of game experience under his belt, he has a better understanding of NFL speed, schemes and the jobs of the blockers around  Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 54 Roberto Osuna Toronto Blue Jays Scarlet Canada Day Red Jersey him.

The Ravens’ only other centers on the roster are sixth-round pick Bradley Bozeman (Alabama) and undrafted rookie Alex Thompson. Alex Lewis could be an option, but Head Coach John Harbaugh said he would prefer to use him at guard next to Ron Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey nie Stanley.

“It’s a really good opportunity for me to showcase to the coaches that I can be that leader on the offensive line and make the calls to direct guys where to go,” Skura said. “I think that’s the biggest thing for me.”

Tavon Young Feel Roberto Osuna Canada Day Jersey s Back to Normal After Knee Rehab, Ready to Jump Into OTAs

Cornerback Tavon Young had a spectacular rookie season, but suffered a torn ACL in last year’s Organized Team Activities. Now, almost a year later, he’s itching to return to the field.

It’s flown under the radar, but one of the Ravens’ most talented cornerbacks is set to return to the field.

Tavon Young has recovered from his torn ACL and expects to participate in Russell Martin Canada Day Jersey Ravens Organized Team Activities (OTAs), which kick off next week.

“I feel like I’m back – back to normal,” Young said. “We’ll see, but I think I’m going to go full-go.”

It was about a year ago (June 1) when Young went down in OTAs with a torn ACL. There was hardly any contact. He just crumpled to the turn while attempting an interception.

It was a freak accident to a player who had never suffered a major injury. He had never missed a full season. What made it even more difficult was that Dalton Pompey Jersey Young was coming off such a strong rookie campaign.

Young was one of the Ravens’ biggest surprises of 2016. The fourth-round rookie started 11 games, made 53 tackles, broke up eight passes and snagged two interceptions. The 5-foot-9 Temple product showed off his scrappy play, athleticism and ball skills.

Heading into his second season, Young was going to get a chance to blossom in the corner slot position, which is where he always projected to be best suited.

“That was the tough part. I was trying to come back and have a strong year, but I had the injury that put me down for a little bit,” Young said. “It was a little rough at the beginning, but with time, as my knee was feeling better, I  Women’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 55 Russell Martin Toronto Blue Jays Canada Day Red Jersey was just like, ‘It’s a part of the game.’”

Young missed the Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey  entire season as the Ravens plugged veteran Lardarius Webb, Maurice Canady and Jaylen Hill into the slot and used a rotation of Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr and Marlon Humphrey as the top three outside cornerbacks.

Now the Ravens are still in need of a true slot cornerback, and adding Young back into the rotation would make a strong position group even stronger. The Ravens still have Smith, Humphrey, Carr and Canady as returning key cornerbacks, and added fourth-round Alabama rookie Anthony Averett.

“I’m just glad to be back with my teammates,” Young said. “I’m here to compete and have fun, help us win games.”

Young said he could run again in December, but was glad he didn’t have to rush back to the field. With a full year to recover and rehab, he’s rebuilt his strength. He’s been at the Under Armour Performance Center through the entire process, and has already participated in on-field work this offseason.

Young said several of the Ravens veterans helped him get over the injury. One case in recent history has some similarities.

In 2009, Lardarius Webb was having a standout rookie season but tore his ACL in late December. He returned in Week 2 the following year, then assumed a full-time starting role in his third season. Webb rebounded to become a top-flight cornerback and was re-signed to a long-term deal.

“I’m even hungrier to be Devon Travis jersey great,” Young said. “I’m happy; it feels like a gift. I’m thankful because I get to play again.”

Ravens Sign Roberto Osuna Canada Day Jersey Another Undrafted Rookie, Da’Sean Downey

The UMass defensive end was a first-team Eastern College Athletic Conference standout as a senior after he notched six sacks and 20 tackles for loss.

The Ravens added another Dalton Pompey Jersey undrafted rookie to the squad Monday morning, signing Massachusetts defensive end Da’Sean Downey.

Downey was named to the first-team Eastern College Athletic Conference squad after becoming a full-time starter as a senior. He logged 58 tackles, Russell Martin Canada Day Jersey including 20 tackles for loss and six sacks. That was the second-most tackles for loss in program history.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound New York native spent time learning from Green Bay Packers linebacker Ahmad Brooks leading up to the NFL Draft. He has good athletic, hybrid traits and length. He projects as a developmental edge ru Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey sher.

The Ravens also added tryout defensive end Myles Humphrey last week, and LSU defensive end Christian LaCouture is one of their top undrafted free agents.

Report: Austin Howard Signing With Indi Kevin Pillar Blue Jays Jersey anapolis Colts

Last year’s 16-game starter will likely be replaced by  Kevin Pillar Jersey James Hurst or Orlando Brown Jr. The Colts’ signing does not affect compensatory picks.

The Indianapolis Colts are signing free-agent offensive tackle Ryan Howard, according to the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Howard started all 16 games at right tac Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey kle for the Ravens last season. He was a solid blocker, especially in pass protection. He was graded as the league’s 18th-best right tackle by Pro Football Focus.

The Ravens part Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale ed ways with Howard after one season, however, when they didn’t pick up his option.

Baltimore already re-signed James Hurst and has Alex Lewis r Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey eturning. The Ravens further solidified their tackle position by drafting Orlando Brown Jr. in the third round and developmental tackle Greg Senat in the sixth.

Hurst and Brown are considered the frontrunners to replace Howard this season, as Head Coach John Harbaugh said he would prefer to use Lewis at left guard next to Ronnie Stanley.

Howard’s signing does not affect the compensatory pick formula for 2019 since Tuesday’s unrestricted free-agent deadline passed.

Mark Andrews: Type-1 Diabetes Won’t Be a Prob Kevin Pillar Blue Jays Jersey lem in NFL

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes when he was 9 years old. He had a s Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey care while in college, but has never had an issue while playing sports.

On September 25, 2014, Mark Andrews had his life saved by a team Kevin Pillar Jersey mate.

That afternoon, Oklahoma long snapper Wesley Horky found his roommate on his bed, his eyes fixated straight ahead, yet his massive body totally motionless.

Andrews has Type-1 diabetes, which is a genetic disorder in which the body does not produce insulin on its own. Andrews manages it like clockwork, making sure he gets enough sugar in his body to make sure his glucose levels don’t spike or drop.

But nobody knows what happened that day, as Andrews and Horky told Bleacher Report.

By the time paramedics arrived at Andrews’ dorm room, he had started to come to. Thanks to quick thinking by Andrews’ mom, Martha, Horky stuffed fruit chews into his mouth and it worked.

The whole episode was rattling, but not something that Andrews or the Ravens are worried about moving forward. Andrews was diagnosed when he was 9. He’s been dealing with it for more than a decade.

“I’ve never had it affect me during football and sports, so it’s never been a problem,” Andrews said.

“It’s something that I take extremely good care of myself; I’m very diligent about it. It’s not a problem – it’s just something I always have to be aware of. I always take care of my body, and that’s something always at the front of my mind.”

Andrews reportedly wears an insulin pump on his right hip and only takes it off when he’s playing football. As a  Youth Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey kid, he often checked his levels while on the bench. In Baltimore, Andrews will have all the dietary needs and staff needed at his fingertips.

Andrews said some teams asked leading up to the draft about the condition, just wondering how he dealt with it. The Ravens weren’t concerned. Head Coach John Harbaugh said it was never brought up in draft meetings.

“Maybe I wasn’t paying attention when it got brought up,” he said with a chuckle. “It wasn’t something that factored into to our consideration at all.”

The diagnosis didn’t stop Andrews from doing anything he wanted in football – and doing it well. Andrews scored seven touchdowns as a freshman at Oklahoma one year after his dorm room incident. He won the John Mackey Award (nation’s best college tight end) after posting 62 catches for 958 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior.

Standing it at 6-foot-5, 256 pounds, Andrews has the size of a tight end but the skillset of a wide receiver. He’s smooth, has a knack for getting open, makes contested catches and grabs everything that comes his way, and he showed that during rookie minicamp.

Andrews’ first NFL practice Friday was during an unseasonably hot May day that got into the mid-90s. It was a long, high-tempo practice, and Andrews got through it fine.

“I almost get an Oklahoma-vibe being out here,” Andrews said. “They love to work hard. You have to work for everything, and that’s how it was at Oklahoma. It’s kind of like coming home to me.”

Ravens Sig Kevin Pillar Blue Jays Jersey n Two Rookie Tryouts, Including an Intriguing Returner

Baltimore has added wide receiver Janarion Grant (Rutgers) and defensive end Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey  Myles Humphrey (Shepherd). The Ravens waived fullback Ricky Ortiz and undrafted linebacker Mason McKenrick.

The Ravens liked what they saw from a couple tryout players at this weekend’s rookie minicamp.

Baltimore signed wide receiver Janarion Grant (Rutgers) and defensive end Myles Humphrey (Shephard) to its 90-man roster Monday.

Grant was a dynamic return specialist in college and could increase competition at that spot this summer as Baltimore looks to replace Michael Campanaro. The Ravens’ current top options are Chris Moore and Tim Whit Kevin Pillar Jersey For Sale e. Willie Snead could potentially enter the mix t Kevin Pillar Jersey Cheap oo.

Grant scored eight return touchdow Women’s Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey ns (five on kickoffs, three punts) during his five college seasons. He averaged 24.8 yards per kick return and 11.3 per punt return.

After three big seasons to begin his college career, injuries derailed Grant in his final two years, in which he played a combined 11 games. Last season, he played in seven games, made 22 returns and caught just 16 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for one touchdown.

The 5-foot-10, 174-pound speedster still finished third in program history in all-purpose yards (4,851), first in kickoff-return yards (2,857) and fourth in punt-return yards (588). He was one of the top playmakers in program history.

Humphrey was the 2017 Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league in sacks (11.5) and forced fumbles (four). He was fourth in the league in tackles for loss (18). He stands in at 6-foot-2, 245 pounds.

The Ravens didn’t draft any pass rushers this year after grabbing two (Tyus Bowser and Tim Williams) last year, but Baltimore is always on the hunt for more players to get after quarterbacks and Humphrey will compete for a spot.

The Ravens waived fullback Ricky Ortiz, who spent much of last year on the practice squad, and undrafted linebacker Mason McKenrick (John Carroll) to make room on the roster.

Chris Moore, Young Ravens Wide Receivers May Kevin Pillar Jersey  Need to Step up

With veteran Jeremy Maclin day-to-day with a knee injury, the Ravens may tur Youth Majestic Flexbase Authentic 25 Marco Estrada Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey n to Chris Moore, Breshad Perriman or Michael Campanaro as a starter.

When Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore caught a 30-yard touchdown in Pittsburgh two weeks ago, he not surprisingly got a text from his mother.

She was excited that he finally made a big play (the longest of his two-year NFL career) considering most of what he did in college was go deep.

“But that’s not enough for her,” Moore said. “She wants a 60- or 50-yarder. She’s expecting more.”

Moore’s mother shares that desire with Ravens coaches and fans, and Moore may need to deliver this weekend and down the Ravens’ regular-season stretch if Jeremy Maclin can’t play.

Maclin is day-to-day with a knee injury that knocked him out of last week’s victory in Cleveland. If he can’t suit up this Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts, it leaves an open starting wide receiver spot.

While Maclin hasn’t had the production he’s wanted, he’s still second on the team in targets (72), receiving yards (440) and receiving touchdowns (three). So, it’s a key role.

Moore, Breshad Perriman and Michael Campanaro could all take that spot – or at least all be called on to help pick up the slack – but Moore has shown the most progress in recent weeks.

“Chris Moore is a guy that we really do think is an emerging player,” Head C Men’s Toronto Blue Jays 19 Paul Molitor Authentic Mitchell and Ness Home White Throwback Jersey oach John Harbaugh said. “I feel like it is time for him to break out.”

Moore was a fourth-round pick of the Ravens last year. The Cincinnati product didn’t make much of a rookie impact with seven catches for 46 yards, and had a costly drop in a loss to the Oakland Raiders.

Moore focused on becoming a great special teams player this season, which he has accomplished, an Marcus Stroman Jersey d has recently emerged on offense as well. It’s not such an uncommon leap. When confidence builds in one area, it spreads to others.

Confidence is something that Moore admits he’s struggled with a Paul Molitor Jersey t times, and Harbaugh knows it.

“Sometimes, it’s like I want to say, ‘Do you realize how talented you are? Do you really, in your heart, understand how good you can be?’ He is going to be a special player,” Harbaugh said.

“We are looking for big things from him, for sure. I would like for it to be [Saturday] afternoon, too. That would be great. You hear that, Chris?”

Yup, Moore heard it.

“I know what he’s talking about,” Moore said. “Sometimes I doubt myself, sometimes I do lack that confidence when I take the field. But each time I go out there, my teammates have my back and hearing him say he thinks I can be a great player gives me more confidence in myself.”

Moore has caught 15 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns this season. He logged one dropped pass last week in Cleveland, but caught three passes in each of his previous three games for a combined 117 yards and the one tou Marco Estrada Jersey chdown in Pittsburgh.

“When he gets the ball in his hands, you can see the talent and the speed,” Harbaugh said. “He plays as fast or faster than anyone we have when you calculate game speed.”

Moore said the key has been his comfort level within the offense. It takes a while to know everything that’s going on at all times, and once he got it, he could play faster.

The other part was that confidence that he could make plays at the NFL level. Now he’s done that, which just raises the bar.

“ Toronto Blue Jays I push myself harder because I know I can do it now,” Moore said. “I expect more and more each time I go out there for myself personally. … We’re fighting right now to go to the playoffs and make a nice run, so I have to step up and make plays for this team.”

Outside of Moore, the Ravens could also call on Perriman, who was active last week and caught his one targeted Kevin Pillar Jersey pass for a 9-yard gain, and/or Campanaro, who made a 17-yard catch and run against the Browns.

Perriman’s struggles this year have been well documented. Campanaro has a career-high 14 catches for 116 yards Women’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 11 Kevin Pillar Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey  as he’s finally stayed healthy, but has mostly been a special teams returner. Both are capable of more.

“All of us are young, all of us are hungry, we all know we can play well and make big plays,” Moore said. “Right now, it’s all our opportunities to show that we belong and we can play.”
