Top Takeaways From Ter Josh Donaldson Canada Day Jersey rell Suggs’ Hour-Long Q&A With Ravens Fans

Veteran Terrell Suggs talks about the rookie class, his NFL future, favorite memories and more during an teleconf Russell Martin Canada Day Jersey erence with season-ticket holders.

It was Terrell Suggs unplugged Tuesday night as the Ravens’ veteran linebacker took questions from PSL season-ticket holders Tuesday night for nearly an hour.

Suggs is always entertaining, insightful and smart – both on gamedays and just in general conversation.

Here are some of the top takeaways from the Q&A:

On what he would say if he could go back in time and talk TO his rookie self:

“Pay attention. Do not take for granted the people that are in this Devon Travis Jersey building. It’s a lot. First thing I would do is whip his [butt]. [I was a] 20-year-old kid [who] need his [butt] whupped. I was in a different world. I was really remedial. Ray Lewis, he tried to teach me so many things. When he was talking to me, it was like he was speaking German and French. I couldn’t comprehend. I was like, ‘Look, man, I’m just here to pass rush.’ He was like, ‘Nah, we don’t draft just pass rushers in the first round. You have to do everything.’”

On what drives him heading into his 16th NFL season:

“To do it all again. It’s a trip to get to do it all again. I love playing ball. I love playing ball. I love being Sizzle. When the time comes for me to be a full-time dad, full-time actor/writer/director/producer, I’ll do all that. But right now, it’s the Flock. Go Flock.

“To be totally honest with you, I don’t see my peak in my near future.”

On the rookie class, especially quarterback Lamar Jackson:

“They have a tremendous amount of potential. It’s up to them to cash in on that. They’re only going to reap the reward if they come in and put in the work. If they come in and work to earn that Ravens decal, the future is bright for them.

“Potential never won a game. It never made a play.”

On the favorite play of his career:

“Super Bowl. As crazy as it sounds, the last defensive play of that Super Bowl, the guy who was involved is on this team now [Michael Crabtree]. I walked in [the locker room] and Jimmy [Smith] and Michael Crabtree were talking about it. I was like, ‘To be totally honest with you, Michael, it was an uncatchable ball.’ … Definitely, when that ball flew over Michael Crabtree’s head, that was my favorite play

“In 2012, going into the Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey  playoffs, Jimmy Smith was very upset. He wanted to play more. He had an up and down year because he had injuries and all that. … I told him, ‘If you think we’re not going to need you to win this, you’re mistaken. We’re going to need you to win the Super Bowl.’ And he made the last three plays. It’s crazy, it’s like déjà vu.”

On why he picked No. 55:

“I walked into the building and that was the jersey they gave me. There were some other numbers that were available that weren’t too flattering. I asked who had 56. They said they didn’t give 56 out to rookies. Ed Hartwell had it. It was the only good number that was available, so I took it.”

On how he got the nickname “Sizzle”:

“It’s actually very funny. My cousin, D’Marr Suggs, played basketball at Idaho State University. And he was a really good player. They gave him the name ‘D-Sizzle.’ Naturally, with me being at Arizona State and me trying to live up to my big cousin, I inherited the name ‘T-Sizzle.’”

On who will be this year’s young Dalton Pompey Jersey defensive breakout player:

“Willie ‘Earl’ Henry. He’s going to have a breakout year. Tyus Bowser. I’m really optimistic about all our young guys. Peanut, Patrick Onwuasor, Maurice Canady, pretty much all the guys that’s here. The whole team is here. With the new coordinator, I think all our young guys are going to have a breakout year. It’s going to be a fun year.”

On why he’s excited about new Defensive Coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale:

“He’s taking the handcuffs off the guys. Sometimes a player can be shackled just by the rules and confines of the defense. I think Wink is going to allow us to go make plays and be the fast-moving defense that this city and the fans love. That’s why I’m very excited for the season.”

Tavon Young Feel Roberto Osuna Canada Day Jersey s Back to Normal After Knee Rehab, Ready to Jump Into OTAs

Cornerback Tavon Young had a spectacular rookie season, but suffered a torn ACL in last year’s Organized Team Activities. Now, almost a year later, he’s itching to return to the field.

It’s flown under the radar, but one of the Ravens’ most talented cornerbacks is set to return to the field.

Tavon Young has recovered from his torn ACL and expects to participate in Russell Martin Canada Day Jersey Ravens Organized Team Activities (OTAs), which kick off next week.

“I feel like I’m back – back to normal,” Young said. “We’ll see, but I think I’m going to go full-go.”

It was about a year ago (June 1) when Young went down in OTAs with a torn ACL. There was hardly any contact. He just crumpled to the turn while attempting an interception.

It was a freak accident to a player who had never suffered a major injury. He had never missed a full season. What made it even more difficult was that Dalton Pompey Jersey Young was coming off such a strong rookie campaign.

Young was one of the Ravens’ biggest surprises of 2016. The fourth-round rookie started 11 games, made 53 tackles, broke up eight passes and snagged two interceptions. The 5-foot-9 Temple product showed off his scrappy play, athleticism and ball skills.

Heading into his second season, Young was going to get a chance to blossom in the corner slot position, which is where he always projected to be best suited.

“That was the tough part. I was trying to come back and have a strong year, but I had the injury that put me down for a little bit,” Young said. “It was a little rough at the beginning, but with time, as my knee was feeling better, I  Women’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 55 Russell Martin Toronto Blue Jays Canada Day Red Jersey was just like, ‘It’s a part of the game.’”

Young missed the Kevin Pillar Canada Day Jersey  entire season as the Ravens plugged veteran Lardarius Webb, Maurice Canady and Jaylen Hill into the slot and used a rotation of Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr and Marlon Humphrey as the top three outside cornerbacks.

Now the Ravens are still in need of a true slot cornerback, and adding Young back into the rotation would make a strong position group even stronger. The Ravens still have Smith, Humphrey, Carr and Canady as returning key cornerbacks, and added fourth-round Alabama rookie Anthony Averett.

“I’m just glad to be back with my teammates,” Young said. “I’m here to compete and have fun, help us win games.”

Young said he could run again in December, but was glad he didn’t have to rush back to the field. With a full year to recover and rehab, he’s rebuilt his strength. He’s been at the Under Armour Performance Center through the entire process, and has already participated in on-field work this offseason.

Young said several of the Ravens veterans helped him get over the injury. One case in recent history has some similarities.

In 2009, Lardarius Webb was having a standout rookie season but tore his ACL in late December. He returned in Week 2 the following year, then assumed a full-time starting role in his third season. Webb rebounded to become a top-flight cornerback and was re-signed to a long-term deal.

“I’m even hungrier to be Devon Travis jersey great,” Young said. “I’m happy; it feels like a gift. I’m thankful because I get to play again.”

Ravens Expect First-Rou Devon Travis Jersey nd Run on Quarterbacks

This year’s NFL Draft may see up to five quarterbacks selected before the Ravens are on the clock at No. 16.

Much of the national discussion leading up to this year’s NFL Draft has naturally focused on the quarterback position.

This draft features what might be one of the top quarterback classes in recent memory, particularly when it comes to the top prospects. The Ravens expect to see a run at the position before they’re on the clock at No. 16.

USC’s Sam Darnold, UCLA’s Josh Rosen, Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield and Wyoming’s Josh Allen are all viewed as sure-fire first-round picks, and Ravens Assistant General Manager could see all four of them coming off the board in the top-10 picks.

“It’s become a quarterback league. It always has been, but it’s even more-so now,” DeCosta said last week on an episode of “The Lounge” podcast. “And when you see with certain franchises, their fortune turns around really quickly with a quarterback. We’re a great example of that in 2008, 2009.  Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 33 J A Happ Jersey Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey But when you see the teams that are able to do that,  J.A Happ Jersey whether it’s the Philadelphia Eagles [with Carson Wentz] or the Houston Texans [with Deshaun Watson] last year.”

Talented young quarterbacks have shown in recent years that they’re entering the NFL primed to become immediate difference makers. The top two picks of the 2016 class – Wentz and Jared Goff (Los Angeles Rams) – both led their teams to the playoffs in their second seasons and were among the league’s top passers.

Adding to the likelihood of a quarterback run is that most draft analysts believe next year’s class won’t be Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 31 Joe Biagini Toronto Blue Jays Red Scarlet Canada Day Jersey  as strong at the position. Teams needing a quarterback know they may need to be aggressive in getting one this year rather than waiting to see what’s available in another 12 months down the road.

Teams without a franchise quarterback are on the hunt for the next Wentz or Goff, and that’s why some pundits believe that Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield and Allen could be the first four picks in the Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 29 Devon Travis Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey  draft. Louisville’s Lamar Jackson, the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, also has a good chance of being a first-round pick and could e Toronto Blue Jays Custom Jersey ven come off the board before the Ravens pick.

“You see the success these guys have as young players and you just see how it shapes the entire franchise,” DeCosta said. “I think that’s a good reason why all four of those guys, and maybe even five guys, will all go in the first round.”

For the last decade, the Ravens have rooted for the top quarterbacks to fly off the board early in the first round.

Since taking Joe Flacco in 2008, the Ravens haven’t needed to take a quarterback in the early rounds. That’s allowed them to sit back as teams fight for quarterbacks while quality position players fall down the board.

With the Ravens in the market for help at receiver and offensive line this year, the clamoring for quarterbacks could push the top receiver Calvin Ridley or one of the top tackles like Mike McGlinchey or Connor Williams to the middle of the first round.

It’s a good spot to be for the Ravens, and it means they could have plenty of options when they get on the clock at No. 16 next month.

Rookie Tyus Bowser Roars With First Devon Travis Jersey Career Interception and Sack

Second-round outside linebacker Tyus Bowser turned momentum with an interception at the end of the first half just when the Browns were threatening to make it a tight game.

The pesky Cleveland Browns were marching down the field near the end of the Devon Travis Jersey first half, threatening to either tie or tighten a game the Ravens were mostly controlling.Men’s Customized Toronto Blue Jays Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey.

That’s when, in a matter of a few plays, the Ravens turned the tide to take a commanding 14-point lead into the locker room, a lead they held onto the rest of the way in a 24-10 win in their home-opener at M&T Bank Stadium.

The man who got that momentum swing started?

Rookie outside linebacker Tyus Joe Biagini Jersey Bowser.

The second-round pick out of Houston made a crucial interception of quarterback Kevin Hogan with 30 seconds left in the first half and returned it to the Cleveland 40-yard line. The Ravens offense punched it in the end zone three plays later behind a 37-yard Buck Allen run and 2-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Jeremy Maclin with one second left.

It was an impressive play for Bowser, especially considering it’s just his second NFL Blue Jays Canada Day Jersey game.

“To come up with that [interception], that was a Raven play,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said. “That was a play we needed in a critical moment, to flip that situation and to go score a touchdown at the end of the half. That was a dramatic shift of momentum there. He was the reason for it.”

Bowser dropped into zone coverage on the first-and-15 play. Hogan rolled out to his right and Custom Blue Jays Jersey tried to throw on the run. Just as he released, outside linebacker Matthew Judon, who had a running start, clobbered the backup quarterback.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 29 Devon Travis Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey.

Bowser pounced, coming underneath the intended target to make his first career interception. Bowser was lauded for his athleticism and ability to drop into coverage effectively when the Ravens drafted him with the 47th-overall pick.

“I saw the back running JA Happ Jersey the cross and I just took him,” Bowser said. “I saw pressure on the quarterback and saw him roll out. I was pretty sure he was going to throw it, then he threw it and I just ran with the opportunity and made the play.”

Bowser came close to notching a safety as well. In the second quarter, with the Browns backed up to their own 7-yard line, Bowser pressured Hogan, and right tackle Shon Coleman had no choice but to hold. Had the hold happened in the end zone, it would have been a safety. Instead, Bowser ripped through the hold and still brought Hogan down for a 2-yard loss.

“Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees made a good call,” Bowser said. “He gave me an opportunity to rush and do what I get paid for. I gave him a quick power move.”Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 31 Joe Biagini Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

Bowser is a very serious, very focused rookie. Harbaugh said that when Bowser doesn’t do things 100 percent right, he really gets down on himself. “Sometimes I have to grab him a little bit and tell him, ‘It’s Ezequiel Carrera Jersey going to be OK, man.’” Harbaugh said.

Playing in front of a packed M&T Bank Stadium in a regular-season game, Bowser said the crowd gave him a lot of energy.

Notching his first career interception and first career sack in his first Youth Majestic Flexbase Authentic 33 J A Happ Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey game at M&T Bank Stadium isn’t a bad start.

“Just a great day to be a Raven,” Bowser said. “What an experience to come out here and play in this stadium. It was huge. … Getting an opportunity to be on the field in front of these fans with these guys on defense, all credit goes to them.”

Joe Flacco and Ravens Offense Find a Devon Travis Jersey Groove With Balanced Attack

The Ravens were able to move the football more effectively in their second outing, and they leaned more heavily on the passing game.

Joe Flacco joked after the season-opening win last week that it wasn’t all that fun to play on offense that game.

But it was a different scene Sunday, as the Ravens quarterback had a big smile on his face to open his press conference after the 24-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens leaned more heavily Custom Blue Jays Jersey on Flacco to get their second win of the season, and the offense seemed to find a groove behind a balanced attack.

“It was fun,” Flacco said. “It was good to get going.”

The Ravens had success on the ground and through the air, and ran the ball 32 times compared to 34 passing attempts for Flacco. He was efficient, completing 25-of-34 passes for 217 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. The Ravens had 136 yards on the ground.

Flacco spread the ball around to seven targets, and he found his sweet spot targeting the tight ends and running backs over the middle. The Ravens ran several Ezequiel Carrera Jersey creative plays designed to get the tight ends involved, and veteran Benjamin Watson led the way with eight catches for 91 yards.

“Offensively, it was a pounding, grinding game, but you had balance,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said. “The passing game is what made the difference for us. We had conversions, chunk plays. Joe moved around, we had scramble plays, we had scheme plays. Those were what really helped our offense.”

The story of last week’s game was the way the running game dominated JA Happ Jersey the game plan. The Ravens ran the ball 42 times to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, but they knew they would likely need to change that approach this week against the system employed by Cleveland Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams. The running game also suffered a significant blow when right guard Marshal Yanda went down with a season-ending ankle injury.

The Ravens put more on Flacco’s plate this week, and he showed no ill effects from the back injury that sidelined him for five weeks during training camp and the preseason. He again bounced back from big hits and looked fluid moving around the pocket.

“I think I am progressing week to week and feeling a little bit better, but I didn’t feel too much differently Sunday come game time than I did last week,” Flacco said. “I don’t think about it. I’ve said from the beginning that if all the sudden I get hit and I’m hurt, it just is what it is. It’s the nature of this game. You can’t come out here and think about things like that.” Baltimore finished with 337 yards of total offense, and more importantly, the unit capitalized on opportunities created by the defense’s five turnovers.

A particularly significant moment came right before halftime when the Ravens decided to go for a touchdown from the 2-yard line with five seconds left, rather than settling for the field goal. Flacco hit wide receiver Jeremy Maclin on a quick out route for the score to put Baltimore up 21-7 before the half.

“That was the plan and it’s nice to know that they have confidence in us as an offense to do that,” Flacco said.

Despite the victory, the theme of the post-game locker room was the Ravens lamenting blown assignments or missed opportunities on both sides of the ball, and Flacco was frustrated with some of his miscues.

He specifically pointed to the interception he threw on a deep ball intended for Blue Jays Canada Day Jersey speedster Mike Wallace.

“I thought there were a couple of plays I was trying to do a little too much, hoping for too much, and I either missed something or threw a pick way down there,” Flacco said. “Once I got past all that stuff and kind of being mad at myself, the Joe Biagini Jersey fact that we were winning and having fun as a group, it was definitely fun.”

The Ravens will now look to build off their first two wins as they head across the globe for their first game in London. Baltimore’s defense has been as good as advertised to open the season, and the offense has done exactly what it’s needed to do to win games.Men’s Customized Toronto Blue Jays Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey.Men’s Customized Toronto Blue Jays Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey.

The message from the veterans after Sunday’s win was that they still have plenty of work ahead of them to become the type of team they want to be.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 29 Devon Travis Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey.

“We just have to keep it going,” Flacco said.

Ravens Bring Quarterback Josh Ezequiel Carrera Jersey Woodrum Back to Practice Squad

Josh Woodrum captivated Baltimore during the preseason, but was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns after being part of the Ravens’ cutdown to 53.

Josh Woodrum may now be the NFL’s most popular practice squad quarterback.

The Ravens signed Woodrum to their practice squad, where they wanted him all Ezequiel Carrera Jersey along, Tuesday after he was released by the Cleveland Browns late last week.

Baltimore released tight end Ryan Malleck from the practice squad to make room.

Woodrum was claimed by the Browns off waivers after the Ravens released him as part of their final cuts to 53. But as has been the case throughout Woodrum’s young career, he didn’t last long in one place. He didn’t make it to the Browns’ regular-season opener.

Woodrum captured Baltimore’s heart this preseason with his strong play and endearing story.

He posted a 115.6 quarterback rating during the preseason, in which he threw two touchdowns and ran for another two scores. Woodrum threw a touchdown on his first pass of the preseason against the Devon Travis Jersey Washington Redskins and went 8-of-10 for 110 yards and ran for two touchdowns in the second preseason game in Miami.

He played so well in the first two games that the Ravens gave him a shot at playing Blue Jays Canada Day Jersey with the starters in the third preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. Things didn’t go as well then as a snap went over his head and the offense looked out of sync at times. Still, Woodrum finished Custom Blue Jays Jersey 8-of-13 for 55 yards and a touchdown.

The small-school Liberty prospect has now been with six NFL teams (Giants, Colts, Bears, Bills, Ravens, Browns) since going undrafted in 2016. He keeps striving to make an NFL team in part because of the inspiration he gets from his younger brother JA Happ Jersey, Chris, who has Down Syndrome Joe Biagini Jersey and won two gold medals in swimming events at the 2010 Special Olympics.

Ryan Mallett is still the Ravens’ No. 2 quarterback behind Joe Flacco, who Head Coach John Harbaugh said came out of Sunday’s regular-season opener without any back troubles. Woodrum can continue to develop his game in hopes of taking on a larger role down the road.

Pro Bowl Guard Marshal Yanda Fractures Ankle, Joe Biagini Jersey Done for the Season

The Ravens will go with Tony Bergstrom at right guard after trading for him about three weeks ago. While it’s a big blow for the offensive line, Head Coach John Harbaugh won’t agonize over it.

The Ravens have already suffered an onslaught of injuries this year, but the biggest Custom Blue Jays Jersey yet came Sunday Devon Travis Jersey afternoon.

Six-time Pro Bowl right guard Marshal Yanda fractured his left ankle in Sunday’s 24-10 win over the Cleveland Browns, Head Coach John Harbaugh Joe Biagini Jersey announced.

Yanda is arguably the best guard in the NFL. Beyond that, he’s the heart and soul of the offensive line and one of the team’s primary leaders. For a team looking to recommit to a physical running offensive attack, losing Yanda adds yet another roadblock for a banged-up offense.

“There is not a word in the English dictionary that can describe what Marshal is to us,” said another veteran leader, Terrell Suggs. “It hurts. That hurts to lose your bell cow.

“We are going to miss him, but we still have to play Raven football. He would want us to play Raven football, and he would hold us to that standard.”

The Ravens have now suffered three season-ending injuries along the offensive line. Starting left guard Alex Lewis (shoulder) and rookie backup Nico Siragusa (knee) are also done for the year.

Yanda was rolled up on during the first play of the second half, a 2-yard run by running back Terrance West. There was a pile of bodies on the ground around Yanda’s feet and he went to the turf.

Yanda peeled himself off the ground and returned to the huddle, but couldn’t continue and sat down. After being seen by team physicians, he limped Blue Jays Canada Day Jersey off the field, shaking off assistance from trainers.

It’s hard to believe that Yanda is lost for the year. Last season, Yanda kept playing despite a major shoulder injury by switching from right guard to left guard. He has missed just five starts over the past eight seasons. The last time he missed extended time was in 2008.

“Marshal is one of the toughest human beings I’ve ever met in my life,” center Ryan Jensen said. “To see him get up and then go back down, you know it’s something serious.”

“It’s always tough to see a guy like that, especially a leader and future Hall of Famer like Marshal Yanda, get hurt, because you kind of view those JA Happ Jersey guys as invincible,” left tackle Ronnie Stanley added. “Those guys are just human like we all are. We have to come to that reality and keep pushing.”

Tony Bergstrom, for whom the Ravens traded as they were setting the 53-man roster, took Yanda’s place for the second half. Bergstrom played in 15 games last season with the Houston Texans. He started three games for the Oakland Raiders in 2015.

The Ravens still had offensive success after Yanda left the game. They ran for 67 yards in the first half and finished with 136 while Yanda was out for all but one play of the second half. Still, not having Yanda will certainly impact the Ravens’ offensive attack.

“It’s brutal. Obviously, you can’t replace JA Happ Jersey a guy like that,” Bergstrom said. “These 14 boots don’t even compare to the shoes you have to fill with him.”

The Ravens also lost undrafted rookie linebacker Bam Bradley to a season-ending ACL tear during Sunday’s matchup against the Browns. Bradley had emerged as a strong special teams player and was in competition for reps at inside linebacker on defense.

Defensive tackle Brandon Williams (foot) left the game early and did not return. Harbaugh said he hasn’t heard of any long-term problem with Williams and thinks he’s OK.

Harbaugh isn’t going to wallow in Yanda’s injury. The Ravens have already taken numerous shots this year and are 2-0 despite it.

“I don’t want to lament it,” Harbaugh said. “We’re going to keep faith, we’re going to maintain our faith in what we believe in.

“When you face adversity and things like that, that’s an opportunity to do something with it. You know the old saying: There’s no testimony without a test. So bring on the test. We’re OK.”

John Harbaugh Gives Health JA Happ Jersey Updates on Danny Woodhead and Za’Darius Smith

The Ravens’ pass-catching running back will be out for at least four weeks JA Happ Jersey, Head Coach John Harbaugh announced. Pass rusher Za’Darius Smith dodged a bullet and could be back next week.

Head Coach John Harbaugh delivered some good and bad news on the Ravens’ Ezequiel Carrera Jersey injury situation Wednesday afternoon.

Harbaugh confirmed reports that running Devon Travis Jersey back Danny Woodhead’s hamstring injury is serious, and will sideline him for at least four weeks.Men’s Customized Toronto Blue Jays Majestic Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red Flex Base Authentic Jersey.

“Danny looks like it’s going to be a while,” Harbaugh said. “It’s a little unpredictable, but it’s going to be multiple weeks.”

Hamstrings are generally tough to predict, but it’s the second time that Woodhead has injured his left hamstring since becoming a Raven. He also missed a couple weeks of practice after injuring it in the second preseason game in Miami.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 29 Devon Travis Toronto Blue Jays Home White Baseball Jersey.

Meanwhile, outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith dodged a bullet. A knee sprain was announced for Smith in Cincinnati, but it “didn’t turn out to be that serious.” Harbaugh cast doubt on whether Smith can play this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, but said he’ll have a chance for next week in London versus the Jacksonville Jaguars Blue Jays Canada Day Jersey.

That short of a recovery wasn’t expected after Smith was writhing in pain on the field in Cincinnati.

“Man, it was a painful one. On the field, I wanted to give him a leather strap and Custom Blue Jays Jersey a shot of whiskey,” Harbaugh joked.

It looks like Smith will be a big part of the Ravens’ pass rush this season. The third-year player was very active in the preseason and notched a third-down sack to end Baltimore’s first defensive series when he charged up the middle and tripped Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.

Just like Smith looks to be a key factor, Woodhead got off to a very hot start in the regular-season opener before his injury. On the Ravens’ first offensive drive, Woodhead caught three passes for 33 yards, picking up first downs each Joe Biagini Jersey time. He also had one 4-yard carry.

The Ravens have to decide whether they want to place Woodhead on injured reserve (IR). Putting him on IR would open up a roster spot for another running back, and Woodhead would still be able to return later this season.

However, Baltimore can only bring two players back from injured reserve under the NFL’s rules (they don’t have to designate who). With cornerback Maurice Canady (knee) already one target to return, Woodhead would take the second spot. Thus, the Ravens would be in a bind if another big-time player were to get injured and they wanted to put him on IR-to return.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 31 Joe Biagini Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey.

Two logical options to take Woodhead’s place on the roster would be practice squad running backs Jeremy Langford or Alex Collins, who Baltimore added soon after the 53-man roster was set.

“We’ve been trying to get them ready more than anything,” Harbaugh said. “Those guys have done a really good job of studying the offense and they’re healthy guys. Those are two very good options for us, and we’ll see by the end of the week where we’re at with running back.”

The Ravens have until Saturday to bring one of them up to the active 53-man roster or add somebody else.

“I wouldn’t rule out someone from another team, also,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll just have to see how it plays out.”

John Harbaugh Very Pleased With Offensive Line, Devon Travis Jersey Except Holding Penalties

The Ravens offensive line was one of the biggest question marks entering the season-opener. It came out as one of 13 teams around the NFL that gave up one sack or fewer.

The Ravens’ starting offensive line Sunday had a little more than a week of Devon Travis Jersey practice together before taking on one of the best defensive lines in the NFL in Cincinnati.

What Baltimore lacked in practice time, however, was made up during Sunday’s game.

During a key third-quarter drive in which the Ravens executed 12 straight running plays, the offensive line gelled. JA Happ Jersey It had been playing well all game, but the unit bonded on that drive.

“The spirit level was really high,” left tackle Ronnie Stanley said. “We were all pumping each other up to keep the ball moving. It’s an addiction. Once you get going, you just want to keep going.”

The Ravens churned out 157 yards on 42 carries in Sunday’s 20-0 win. Baltimore was one of just 13 teams around the NFL that gave up just one sack or fewer.

For all the consternation and questions about Baltimore’s offensive line, it was perhaps the most pleasant surprise of all in the Ravens’ opening win.

“They were very physical, very minimal assignment errors. The technique was solid, for the most part Devon Travis Jersey,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday. “They put out a good front yesterday. So, those guys stepped up and played really good football.”

Stanley manned left tackle while James Hurst was at left guard for the first time in his football career. Ryan Jensen stepped in as the new starting center, Pro Bowler Marshal Yanda manned right guard and newly-signed Austin Howard was at right tackle.

According to Pro Football Focus, they gave up just the one sack, two quarterback hits and seven pressures. For the most part, quarterback Joe Flacco had a clean pocket to throw from in his first game after a back injury sidelined him for 36 days.

With that said, Flacco only attempted 17 passes. So most of the time, Baltimore’s big-bodied offensive line was going forward, attacking the Bengals defensive line anchored by Pro Bowl defensive tackle Geno Atkins.

And that’s just the way the Ravens offensive linemen like it.

“We ran the ball well and protected Joe well. It was fun out there,” Yanda said.

“It was a great time,” Stanley added. “Running the ball, you have control of the game. That means the defense is trying to get the ball back and they’re in desperation mode.”

Still, there are some hiccups to work out.

Jensen was called for three holding penalties. One was declined. The other two wiped out runs of 8 and 14 yards. Jensen is known for his physicality and showed that at various times, but he has to do a better job of not drawing flags.

Harbaugh said he wasn’t surprised by the team’s two delay of game penalties and pair of false starts (Stanley, Hurst) because of the offensive line’s lack of practice with Flacco. The holding penalties are a different issue.

“The holding penalties, to me, are technique penalties,” Harbaugh said. “That should not happen. They were all legitimate calls, and we just have to clean that up, and we have to block better in those situations Ezequiel Carrera Jersey.

“We had way too many really good [blocks] – a really good blocking outing – to have holding penalties bring those plays back. To me, that is something that, just from a technique standpoint, we have to clean up.”

The Ravens traded for a pair of centers, Tony Bergstrom and Luke Bowanko, when finalizing their 53-man roster. Both were active for the regular-season opener despite being with the team for just one week. As both get more up to speed with the offense, they’ll compete with Jensen for the starting job.

It’s not just the offensive linemen who impressed Harbaugh. It was also the blocking of the big tight ends, including Blue Jays Canada Day Jersey Nick Boyle, and others.

“I’ll tell you, our offense was very Joe Biagini Jersey physical,” Harbaugh said. “There were some guys coming off the ball; I am talking about offensive line, tight ends, running backs – Terrance [West] and ‘Buck’ [Allen] running hard – wide receivers were blocking downfield.”
